It all started in 1999 my senior year at Nogales High School while taking fashion design and business administration for my electives coursework. While I considered pursuing business administration as a career path, I never could see myself working behind a desk. Rather, I always felt a strong desire to use my creativity and artistic impulses. Upon graduation I felt performing would be a great stepping stone to discover what I could possibly do for the rest of my life. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work and perform alongside many talented people and amazing groups. I started by marching with RCC Color Guard, and then continued performing with other groups such as Solution Performance Ensemble, Yamato, Fantasia, and Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps. During my time with Pacific Crest, I met a gentleman, Rob Guzman who has grown to be one of my closest friends. He always encouraged me and also provided me the opportunity to work with a high school, Fillmore High School in 2001 for the first time as a choreographer and co-designer. This was also my first opportunity to create a costume. At the time it was just an idea. But upon seeing the students perform, I was thrilled and without doubt about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. That was the beginning of M.Ra Couture.
In October 10, 2010 I married the most beautiful girl in the world and my best friend Brandi Allyse Garcia. Brandi was born and raised in Anaheim, California and is now the back bone to mine and our daughter's life, M.Ra Couture, and all of our colorguard programs.
Mario and Brandi Ramirez have an extensive background in dance, colorguard, marching band, drum corps, winter guard, and parade. Mario is the Founder, Director, Designer and Choreographer of Diamante Ind. World. Brandi is Co-director, Designer and Lead technician of Diamante Ind. World, and has been a performer and captain of Diamante in the past. They are also currently working with several competitive colorguard units.
M.Ra Couture was founded in 2002 and since then we have been dedicated to providing the best, and highest quality costumes for dance, color guard, drumline, studio owners, dance companies, drum corps, and winter guards.
